Ft. Worth, TX – Swan Motorsports is pleased to announce that Max Mällinen will be driving for its Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda team in 2015. Mällinen is a 16-year-old professional race car driver who competed in the 2014 F1600 Championship Series that marked his first full season in race cars.

Liberty Lake, WA – Sixteen-year-old Max Mällinen is officially a formula car champion, clinching the 2014 Sports Car Club of America’s U.S. Majors Tour National Championship in Formula F competition. At just 16 years and 90 days old, he becomes the youngest American Formula F Champion to date after a successful debut season in the No. 10 Spectrum 014/Honda from Swan Motorsports.

Mällinen Picks Up the Pace at Grattan
Liberty Lake, WA – A mechanical issue in the SCCA Majors race at Grattan didn’t deter 16-year-old Max Mällinen. Coming off a string of strong performances the Swan Motorsports driver was taken out of a dominating performance in his No. 10 Spectrum/Honda on a Sunday afternoon following a second-place run in Saturday’s SCCA sprint race.
